George and Cam arrived in Dublin this weekend, bringing the beautiful weather with them. On Friday, George and I headed to Temple Bar for dinner. Temple Bar is a lively area bordering Trinity College, and we walked up and down the cobblestone roads before settling on Oliver St. John Gogarty's, a bustling pub serving traditional fare. We caught up over Guinness bread and wine before our night took a turn towards the swanky. Meeting up with George's boss, we grabbed drinks at the Shelbourne, one of Dublin's most historic (and posh) hotels overlooking St. Stephen's Green. Those CEOs can hang.
After Cam joined us on Saturday, we walked the beach at Sandymount and then went to check out Ranelagh Village, a stretch of restaurants, bars, and cafes full of rowdy Dubliners. We polished off our steak frites with a Tuscan red and some Irish coffee. Some of us tried on Irish accents.
There are times I miss Williams tons, and on Mountain Day it's hard not to, so to be in such great Eph company this weekend was really wonderful. Cheers!
